Dear All,

Our band's new album Lam La Che with Keb' Mo' and Stevin McNamara was voted as "Best" in 4 categories at the Tibetan Music Award in Dharamshala on October 12, 2013. Here is the link to the website of the 2013 Award winners. Our producer/drummer Michel Tyabji was also voted Best International Artist for Tibet!

Congratulations to my band and to Michel Tyabji.

We created this short video to thank all those who voted for our album. Enjoy!

Hello everyone,

We finished our 2013 "For Peace in Tibet Tour" in Seattle. We were vey fortunate to have our concert presented by the renowned Seattle Theater Group or STG. We have some lovely photos taken by our dear friend photographer Kurt Smith. Enjoy!

Before I go any further, I want to ask you to watch this video song Lama Khen-My Lama and vote for this song as Best song and Lyric (lyric by Chabdak Lhamo Kyab) in the Music Tibetan Music Awards website. The voting will be closed on September 20th. While you are there, please also vote for our new album "Lam La Che-On The Road" which was just officially released by the ARC Music in London. Here is a link where you can also order your copies.

We are now back in our homes across the U.S. and feeling quite appreciative of everyone who made our 2012-13 tour possible. We know we are good dreamers but without you, our relatives and friends, we could never do this alone. We are blessed. Now we are slowly beginning to imagine doing an international tour and planning for the next five years. As you can imagine, as an independent artist without proper backing or management, it is really tough to figure out how to plan for the future. My partner Michel Tyabji and I have had a few meetings and we are discussing our future plans with our band mates as well as with our other supporters. We feel confident that we will be able to come up with a successful path for our band and our music.

When we planned our tour last year, we launched a Kickstarter campaign to finance it and met our goal of raising $7,000 before the deadline. It was very encouraging to receive support not only from family and friends but also fans and people we did not even know. Throughout our tours (2012-13) from Connecticut to Boston, to New York, to Toronto to, West coast to New Orleans, where we opened for His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and to Seattle, Washington our band was welcomed, housed, fed and driven all over by our relatives, friends and supporters. We felt so happy and inspired. Our concert tour really feels like a family business and we are so grateful to all of you who have supported us. Thank you, Thank you and Thank you. Our guitarist Rinzing Wangyal la created this special video to thank our kind friends in Seattle. We were also delighted to meet many new people who appreciated our music. As you know our culture and freedom struggle have a long way to go and your support in this journey is crucial.

Thank you and enjoy the autumn season,

Techung and Band
