We are now back in our homes across the U.S. and feeling quite appreciative of everyone who made our 2012-13 tour possible. We know we are good dreamers but without you, our relatives and friends, we could never do this alone. We are blessed. Now we are slowly beginning to imagine doing an international tour and planning for the next five years. As you can imagine, as an independent artist without proper backing or management, it is really tough to figure out how to plan for the future. My partner Michel Tyabji and I have had a few meetings and we are discussing our future plans with our band mates as well as with our other supporters. We feel confident that we will be able to come up with a successful path for our band and our music.
When we planned our tour last year, we launched a Kickstarter campaign to finance it and met our goal of raising $7,000 before the deadline. It was very encouraging to receive support not only from family and friends but also fans and people we did not even know. Throughout our tours (2012-13) from Connecticut to Boston, to New York, to Toronto to, West coast to New Orleans, where we opened for His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and to Seattle, Washington our band was welcomed, housed, fed and driven all over by our relatives, friends and supporters. We felt so happy and inspired. Our concert tour really feels like a family business and we are so grateful to all of you who have supported us. Thank you, Thank you and Thank you. Our guitarist Rinzing Wangyal la created this special video to thank our kind friends in Seattle. We were also delighted to meet many new people who appreciated our music. As you know our culture and freedom struggle have a long way to go and your support in this journey is crucial.
Thank you and enjoy the autumn season,
Techung and Band
